Wavellite

I like this mineral because it is most unusual. The beautiful pristine crystals really catch the light.

What is Wavellite?

This unusual mineral forms radiating crystals, but here forms minute prismatic crystals that grow from the surface in small stalactites. Wavellite is found in rock fractures and joint surfaces as a secondary mineral.
